Best out vs. Washington in season finale

Jahvid Best will not play in the regular season finale against the Washington Huskies on Saturday, meaning Shane Vereen will again be the primary ball carrier for the Bears. Best is recovering nicely from his scary fall against Oregon State but it has been decided that it's in his best interest to stay on the sideline. I'm assuming this means he'll most likely be back for the Bowl Game (whichever that might be), and could be his final game as a Cal Bear before he bolts for the NFL. Who knows, maybe missing the last 3 games of the regular season and having the Bears fall short of the Rose Bowl again will persuade Best to return to Berkeley for his senior season. I'm not banking on it, but I'll hope that we see #4 back in the blue and gold next year for selfish reasons.
