Cal Golden Bears to play 2011 football season at AT&T Park

The California Golden Bears 2011 home football games will be played in San Francisco at AT&T Park as Memorial Stadium gets a complete renovation. This is several years in the making and a big need for not only the football program, but the athletic department as a whole. Cal was also considering playing at McAffee Coliseum and Monster Park, but ultimately decided the amenities of AT&T were too good to pass up.
After learning about the plans to play at AT&T Park I was pleased; now instead of a long BART ride from SF to Berkeley, all I have to do is wake up and catch a bus. But then pre-gaming gets difficult...do we start at the apartment or make the transition to tailgating full time? No more frat parties? Moving from 71,000 fans to 45,000 means season tickets are a must also, and the Bears will really enjoy a home field advantage for sure.
