DJ Seeley to transfer from Cal
The losses for the California Golden Bears basketball team continue to mount, as sophomore DJ Seeley has decided to transfer to another school. Seeley was a highly rated prep, #39 in the country according to some reports, and joined the Bears as part of Ben Braun's final recruiting class. It was clear from the outset though that he didn't really fit Mike Montgomery's mold as a player, as he rarely saw court time. The guard/forward was as good slasher but struggled to shoot the ball and seemed apathetic on defense, something that will earn you a spot in the doghouse real quickly. It is unclear where he will transfer to, but adding his departure to the graduation of Randle, Christopher, Robertson, Boykin, Knezevic and the likely loss of Omondi Amoke might mean the Bears will lose 7 guys from their Pac-10 title team. The Bears need to hit the recruiting trail hard to see if they can get any last commitments for the 2010 class.
