About his chat with Davis, Alderson said, “The important message was: Let’s stop focusing on the results and just start working on having good at-bats. For me, I thought his at-bats were a little bit better today.”
Alderson, was asked if Davis had a ...

Mets Appealing Harvey Earned Run, Want Tejada Charged With Error
According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets are appealing to Major League Baseball to slice Matt Harvey‘s ERA from 1.55 to 1.41, which would be within one point of the major league lead shared Clayton Kershaw and Shelby Miller.
Adam says that the thrust of the argument is that there should have been a straight error on Ruben Tejada‘s throw that bounced past Ike Davis and...
Mets Weighing Ike Davis Demotion
If, and when, the Mets demote Ike Davis, it shouldn’t be interpreted as the franchise giving up on him. It should be looked at as tough love, that they are doing what is in the best interests of themselves and their frustrated slugger.
The Mets must make this decision, whether he’s the future or not. If he is the future, then the Mets must make him right. If he’s not the future...
Ruben Tejada: Another struggling Met that needs a fire lit under him
Yeah, yeah, let’s talk about yet another struggling Mets’ regular.
We have already discussed the struggles of Ike Davis, Lucas Duda and John Buck, so it’s time we focus on another staple of the Mets’ lineup in Ruben Tejada.
In the early parts of the season, it was Tejada’s defense that had some fans nervous, but since May and perhaps with the temperature rising, Tejada’s...

Although Ike Davis snapped an 0-for-24 skid Friday in a 3-2 win against the Chicago Cubs, the internal discussion about potentially demoting the first baseman has only intensified, according to ESPNNewYork.com.
In fact, Davis may not have much more than the weekend series at Wrigley Field to show enough to stave off a demotion, according to a team source. The front...
Matt Harvey – Enjoy it While You Can Mets Fans
TweetIn today’s 3-2 victory over the Cubs, Matt Harvey once again proved the validity of our 20% Theory of Mets games as he won for the fifth time this season against no loses – but he basically had to do it all himself, as not only did he retire 17 of the last 18 batters he faced, but also drove in the game winner with an RBI single in the seventh.
He struck out 6, and all six...
May 17 Mets Wrap: Matt Harvey Does It All
Matt Harvey settled down after a rocky two-run first inning to produce one of his most impressive starts of the season in a 3-2 victory at Wrigley Field. The victory was the Mets’ second straight after losing six in a row.

Mike Harrington Trolls Matt Harvey And Fails
SI jinx striking Harvey. 2 runs in thus far in first inning at Wrigley. Story was a little too much too soon. NYC hyperbole. #Mets

Hey everyone who needed a throw from the OF to troll me on Harvey: The point was the story, not his pitching. Reading comprehension.

Are Mets considering a rest for Matt Harvey?
MLB.com
When the New York Mets decided to shut down Matt Harvey after only ten starts last season, baseball fans across the borough of Queens must have had that uneasy part of deja vu that nobody likes. Understandably, the Mets brass were hesitant to allow their young right-hander to pitch beyond the 59 plus innings that he had already worked, coupled with the team’s recent inability...
Mets Minors: Noah Syndergaard and other promotion candidates
We are getting closer to the “Super Two” cut-off and that means we’re also getting closer to promotion time in minor league land. Once teams don’t need to sacrifice a year of cheap service they promote their star prospects to the majors and that vacuum will have an effect on players at every level of the system. Yet I wanted to talk about the player who I think is MOST...
