AC Milan’s technical director Geoffrey Moncada was present in the stands for Bologna-Genoa last night. The Frenchman got to see good performances from Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson and Milan loanee Alexis Saelemaekers.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported before the game that Moncada would be present to watch two players in particular: Albert Gudmundsson and Joshua Zirkzee. The former managed to find the back of the net with a nice free-kick, also hitting the bar with another.

Gudmundsson has indeed been the breakout player in Serie A this season, continuing his impressive Serie B form by scoring eight goals in 17 league appearances. He also has two assists to his name and given that his great-grandfather played for Milan, transfer rumours have surfaced.

In addition to Gudmundsson (you can see his free-kick below), the Milan loanee Alexis Saelemaekers also did well as he bagged the assist for the crucial equaliser. Zirkzee, meanwhile, did not have his best game of the season.

Moncada will surely keep a close eye on Gudmundsson and Zirkzee until the end of the season, with some big summer moves expected for Milan.
